Our History

Ken Taylor, Founder

Continental Cabinets, Inc. was founded in the late 1980s by Ken Taylor, who had more desire in his heart than money in his pocket. A long-time sales representative in the home center industry, Ken knew customers wanted quality cabinetry at the best possible prices – but more importantly, he knew they wanted excellent customer service. With that in mind, Ken built and led a team based on core values of integrity and respect.

These values helped Continental Cabinets, Inc. weather intense competition to achieve substantial growth and become one of the nation's leading suppliers to the retail home center industry.

When Ken passed away in 2004, his daughter, Beverly Taylor, assumed leadership of the company. Years of working side-by-side with her father instilled in her Ken's same passion for quality products, rapid delivery, and exceptional customer service. She built a new leadership team, which paved the way for innovation and improvement, new growth opportunities, and a bright future for the company.

Today, Continental Cabinets, Inc. manufactures both unfinished and finished cabinetry in two state-of-the-art facilities in Dallas, Texas. These facilities boast over 500,000 square feet of production space with more than 600 associates dedicated to our mission of providing exceptional customer service.

In 2007, Continental Cabinets, Inc. was recognized as the fifth fastest growing company in the city of Dallas by Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business and the Dallas Business Journal. That same year, the company was also ranked fifth in the top 50 revenue grossing minority- and women-owned business in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
